1.      Go to Windows Live's "Reset your password" page (account.live.com/password/reset).

2.      Enter your Windows Live ID -- which is the same as your MSN ID -- into the appropriate field. Type the random characters into the field just below where they appear, then click "Next."

3.      Click the button beside "Security question." This asks you the security question you set up when you created the account. Type the answer to the question into the appropriate field, and then click "Next" again.
